About the charity

About ROC

Radiology & Oncology Congresses is a UK registered charity dedicated to supporting the professionals who diagnose and treat cancer — and, through them, the patients in their care. We invest in bursaries, research and outreach for lasting public benefit.

Our mission

Better-supported professionals, better outcomes for everyone

ROC exists to advance the science and practice of radiology and oncology for the benefit of the public. We bring the professions together, champion learning, and remove the barriers that stop talented clinicians from reaching their potential.

Everything we do is measured against a single test: does it deliver genuine public benefit and improve care for patients?

Nurture talent

Support trainees and early-career professionals to learn, connect and grow.

Advance research

Fund and champion research that moves imaging and cancer care forward.

Reach further

Share knowledge and raise awareness with the communities who need it most.

Unite the professions

Bring radiology and oncology together around shared goals and patients.

How we are organised

A charity, with a congress that funds its work

ROC is the charitable entity. Our flagship event, the UKIO Congress, is run through our dedicated trading arm whose proceeds are fit-aided back to the charity – so the profession’s biggest gathering directly fuels bursaries, research and outreach.
